A new air service from Waterford Regional Airport to Dublin was launched by the Fianna Fail leader, Mr Bertie Ahern, yesterday.
Exec Air, a small private company, will operate a charter service to and from Dublin five days a week aimed at the business traveller.
The company will use a Piper Chieftan, eight-seater plane, and will also have a five-seater plane available for charter.
It is the first time that Waterford regional Airport will have a regular early morning service to Dublin.

Mr Klaus Wegner, a commercial pilot and founder of Exec Air, said the company had conducted extensive market research into the viability of such a service.
