Manchester United are out of the Champion's League after a last gasp equaliser from FC Porto's Costinha secured an aggregate win for the Portuguese side at Old Trafford tonight.

Paul Scholes opened the scoring for United, who were 2-1 down on aggregate, after some good work down the flank and a quality near post cross by John O'Shea.  But when an 88th minute Benni McCarthy free-kick was parried by Tim Howard, Costinho was on hand to drill home the equaliser on the night and clinch the tie.

Chelsea made harder work of their tie with resilient German side, VfB Stuttgart, despite the return of Damien Duff to the starting eleven.  In fact, the Irish winger was guilty of missing a number of chances for the Stamford Bridge side but they held on for a nil all draw and 1-0 aggregate win.

Elsewhere, Juventus have been ousted from the competition by Deportivo La Coruna, thanks to a Walter Pandiani strike after just 12 minutes, while Lyon have qualified after securing a 2-0 aggregate win over Real Sociedad with a 77th minute Juninho strike.
