Manchester United suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Hungarian champions Zalaegerszeg in the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round in Budapest tonight.
United dominated most of the match, hit the post and had a goal disallowed for offside, but tasted defeat when substitute Bela Koplarovics scored 20 seconds into injury time.
Phil Neville failed to deal with a cross on the left and was powerless to stop the ball being swept in behind him. That left Koplarovics to tuck the ball past Roy Carroll from close range.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had hit the post for United after four minutes and they also had a second half strike ruled out for offside.
United manager Alex Ferguson said afterwards: "It was very disappointing. They had one chance and one goal in the second half, we didn't take our chances."
Centre-back Wes Brown was taken off with an ankle injury after five minutes.
- Celtic came from behind to beat Swiss side FC Basle 3-1 at Celtic Park.

Henrik Larsson equalised from the penalty spot two minutes later after the Stilian Petrov was fouled in the area.
Celtic looked sharper after the break and Chris Sutton put them ahead on 50 minutes.
Larsson missed another penalty just after the hour mark, but winger Momo Sylla crashed home a stunning volley two minutes from time to hand Celtic a two-goal lead for the second leg.
