TWO Filipino seamen were remanded in custody yesterday to the Circuit Criminal Court in Ennis on October 22nd on drugs charges.
Mr Danilo Arca (45) with an address at Luna Street, Naic Cavite, and Mr Ronaldo C. Ferjnandez (31), of Golden Street, AnaStaccia village, Marikina, in the Philippines, were crew members of the Front Guider, a Colombian vessel which brought a cargo of coal to the ESB power station at Moneypoint, in the Shannon estuary.
They are charged with unlawfully importing cocaine and also with possession of cocaine for the purpose of selling.
