Seven-month-old Nurredin Oda was travelling with her mother when they came under fire from Israeli soldiers at a roadblock some 15 kilometres to the west of Nablus, in the West Bank, hospital sources said.

The incident took place on the road linking Nablus with Qalqylia, and the baby was rushed to the nearby Rafidiyeh hospital.

A three-month-old baby was also badly wounded in a similar incident in the south of the Gaza Strip.
