New Delhi - At least two people were killed and 12 others injured yesterday evening when two explosions shook the Red Fort in the Indian capital, police officials said. The blasts occurred 15 minutes apart, the second just 30 metres from the first.
A police officer said an eight-year-old girl died and the body of an adult was found near the site of the second blast. Twelve people who had been seriously injured were rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
