Two men in their twenties are being held in Sligo Garda station following the seizure of €15,000 worth of cocaine and €45,000 of cannabis resin in the town.
The cocaine was intercepted in the post by Customs and Excise officers. Follow-up searches in the town resulted in the discovery of the cannabis resin and a quantity of cash.
The operation involved the Garda National Drugs Unit, the Sligo Divisional Drugs Unit and Customs Officers.
The men are being detained in Sligo Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act. They can be held for seven days.
