Two men are due to appear in court at Nenagh in Co Tipperary this morning in connection with the seizure of 90 kilogrammes of cannabis resin in Galway earlier in the week.
The drugs, an estimated street value of €1.2 million, were seized when a van was stopped and searched at a checkpoint at Ballinasloe just after midnight.on Wednesday.
Two men, aged 23 and 39 were arrested and detained at Ballinasloe Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
