Two men have been arrested by gardaí investigating a shooting incident at a pub in west Dublin at the weekend.

Two men have been arrested by gardaí investigating a shooting incident at a pub in west Dublin at the weekend.

A number of shots were fired at the front door of Paidi Óg's in Mulhuddart at about 11.45pm on Saturday. A man (50) was wounded in the incident, but his injuries were not life threatening.

A car that gardaí believe was used in the incident was recovered on Sunday evening in the north of the city.

Gardaí investigating the incident yesterday searched six properties in Blanchardstown and Maynooth, Co Kildare.

They arrested two men aged 19 and 22 years and they are being detained at Blanchardstown Garda station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.
