Two men were arrested in London yesterday in connection with a car-jacking spree on both sides of the Irish Border.
The suspects, aged 32 and 23 were detained by the PSNI and brought back to Newry, Co Down, for questioning.
The arrests were made by detective investigating a spate of crime across counties Down, Armagh, and Louth.
Nine vehicles were stolen or damaged by a gang in one day last month. In one incident, a mother feared her young son would be taken when thieves tried to steal her car, only to be foiled by a lorry driver who blocked the road.

One man, aged 31 and from Newcastle, Co Down, has already appeared in court charged with three counts of highjacking.
