SIPTU's National Transport Committee, which represents 65 per cent of bus and rail workers, will meet today to decide on a Labour Court recommendation which may avert a national strike on Friday. A decision is expected before lunchtime tomorrow.
The Labour Court recommended that a PCW rise be paid and that CIE meet the unions immediately to discuss a viability plan.
