Advertisements for concert, cinema and theatre tickets will have to give total costs, inclusive of booking fees, under the terms of a new Ministerial order.
The Minister for Commerce, Science and Technology, Mr Pat Rabbitte, announced yesterday he would be making an order in relation to the display of booking fees which would require advertisers to give the total cost of tickets. They will also be required to state if a charge is to be levied per booking or per ticket.
Advertisers will also have to make reference to the existence and cost of a booking fee even if there is no reference to a ticket price.
