In Dublin, a car driver in his thirties died when his car hit a tree in Tallaght, on the Blessington Road near the Jobstown Inn shortly after 10 p.m.
In Co Louth, a male car driver was killed by a collision with a lorry on the N1 road just north of Drogheda at 1.45 a.m.
A woman in her fifties was killed in Co Kildare in a collision between two cars near Naas shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday.
