The Hong Kong government said today the SARS virus has killed three more people and infected two others in the territory.

The latest figures bring the local death toll from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) to 273 and the cumulative number of cases to 1,732, a hospital official said.

Seven more patients were discharged, bringing the total number of discharged patients to 1,302.

On Saturday, Hong Kong reported no new daily SARS infections for the first time since the outbreak of the deadly disease hit the city in March.
