Three people were killed in road accidents yesterday

Three people were killed in road accidents yesterday. A man in his late 20s died when a car in which he was a passenger collided with another vehicle on the N11 at Kilbride, Co Wicklow. Two people injured in the accident were taken to St Colmcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.

A man was killed when his car collided with an oil truck on the Waterford to New Ross Road. He was named as Mr Michael Barrett (52) of Newbay, Co Wexford. The accident happened at Slieverue, Co Kilkenny. In Co Wexford, a man was killed when his tractor ran into a ditch in Ballyfad, six miles from Gorey. The man was thrown from the vehicle and was killed instantly.
