A man in his 20s was killed and four other people were seriously injured in a car crash in Cork last night. The accident happened when a car spun out of control and hit a wall at Lehenaghmore, Togher, on Cork's south side at around 7.30 p.m.

A Co Limerick farmer died yesterday as a result of a two-car crash on the main Gort road outside Ennis. He was Mr Sean O'Rourke (53), of Kildimo, who was a passenger in a car travelling towards Ennis. A 19-year-old man was killed early yesterday when his car left the road and crashed near Raphoe, Co Donegal at 4.45 am. He was named by gardai later as Brendan Callan, from Inniskeen, Co Monaghan.
