Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Limerick last week.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Limerick last week.

Ger McMahon (43), known locally as Ger Troy, from Raheen Square, Limerick, was found on the steps of a house at Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, at about 12.30am on Wednesday by an ambulance crew.

Mr McMahon, who was known to gardaí, is believed to have been stabbed in the back and had been trying to raise the alarm at the house he was found lying outside.

A man in his 30s, a woman in her 40s and a female minor were arrested in the Mungret area of Limerick this morning.

They are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

They are being held at Henry Street, Mayorstone and Roxboro Road Garda Stations.
