DR RHONA MAHONY, Master designate of Holles Street Hospital:I CAME in at 50 minutes on the button, so I was really pleased.
I hadn’t done much training but I do go for a run on Sundays – when no one’s looking at home I slip out for an hour. Thats for my head more than anything else, just a little space for me.
The atmosphere today was just electric. Its just extraordinary to be there with 40,000 women with everybody raising money for charity. Many women have been touched adversely by difficulty, either themselves or a loved one, so its fantastic people turning that into something positive.
There were about 10 of us running for Holles Street today but next year it will be the whole hospital. I’ve decided Im going to get them all training in January, you’ll see the whole hospital out in Sandymount. It will be an army next year.
