Huntsville - The state of Texas executed its second prisoner in a week on Monday when a former labourer was put to death by lethal injection for killing three people in a 1996 shooting spree. Steven Renfroe (40) was executed without the fanfare or media attention that accompanied the execution of Karla Faye Tucker, who last week became the first woman put to death in Texas since the Civil War. Renfroe was sentenced to death for killing his girlfriend, aunt and neighbour in a drug-crazed shooting spree.
