The British supermarket giant, Tesco, last night announced it is withdrawing all beef products containing meat from older dairy cows following the Government ban on the sale of newly slaughtered cattle over 30 months.

British beef from beef herds will still be available, but Irish beef will be offered as an alternative in all 530 Tesco stores throughout Britain, with Scotch beef offered in Scotland. The supermarket chain also pledged to provide better labelling of beef and beef derived ingredients in products.
