A teenage burglar whose home life appalled Judge Kevin Haugh has been remanded in custody after failing to take advantage of the chance he gave her. Laura Kinsella's three-year sentence for her role in terrorising a 72-year-old widow during a burglary was suspended in April by Judge Haugh.
The Probation Service re-entered her case at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court because she breached bond conditions. She is now remanded in custody to July 8th. When Judge Haugh sentenced her originally, Kinsella said her father had sexually abused her, kept her from the Probation Service and caused her to leave drug treatment.
