Tis the season, and what more could you want at Christmas and New Year than a dose of Rabbids? There’s something endearing about the Raving Rabbids. Perhaps it’s their weird appearance. Perhaps it’s their slightly manic air.

Regardless, the Rabbids are a manic bunch. Which makes them perfect for the party game and ideal as Christmas entertainment.

This time around, someone thought it would be a good idea to let the quirky characters loose on history. The Rabbids are travelling through time changing and influencing events as they go. In case you didn’t know, they’re behind some of the greatest events in history, including the sinking of the Titanic and the Mona Lisa’s mysterious smile.

The title consists of lots of different mini-games, with up to four players allowed to take part. Don’t have enough friends (or Wiimotes)? No problem – the game will substitute some AI players for you.

Each of the games takes place at some point in history. Your time travel vehicle is a washing machine, fitting in nicely with the Rabbids kooky sense of humour; your play area is a museum, where you can wander the halls and choose your game. The time periods vary from 150 million BC to AD 1975; take your pick and take your chances. Flying, shooting, underwater: all tastes are catered for in this title.

Easy to pick up and put down, the game is ideal for entertaining, family events or those with a shorter than average attention span. You even get a dedicated button just for screaming. What more do you need?
