PilotWings Resortmight seem a little basic. Fly around an island collecting items and hitting targets. You get a number of different vehicles, including a glider, a plane and jetpack. Each have their own advantages and difficulties – the glider is harder to judge speed and distance, while performing a barrel roll in the plane is more fun than you'd think. The quicker and more accurately you perform each task, the higher you score and the sooner you rack up the stars to move on to the next level. The easiest difficulty settings are tedious, but it's worth persevering. The 3D effect really comes into its own when you're gliding around the island, soaring over mountains and beaches. The Free Flight mode enables you to build up airtime exploring the island. Controls could be more exact, but overall, there is more to this game than meets the eye.
