This is more of a 3D reboot than a brand new title. Aimed squarely at younger players, Nintendogs and Cats 3Dallows you a virtual pet, choosing from a number of breeds of puppies and kittens on offer. Nintendo has tried to replicate in some way the unique behaviour of each breed. Cats won't stand for learning tricks, for example, will frequently go out and will sometimes return with "gifts". Dogs are much more obliging, must be walked and are generally more social, learning to respond to voice commands. There's very

little that different in this 3D version, but it does add some interesting elements to the game. The 3D gives the screen more depth, and when you “walk” your dog, you can either do it on screen or use the 3DS console’s built-in pedometer.
