3 cert, Sony, PSP As a multiplayer game, there's nothing too unusual about Echoshift. You help to get your character from the starting point to the exit door in multi- level environments, pushing buttons to remove obstacles such as walls or platforms.

The problem? You’re the only player. Instead of additional characters, you rely on an “echo”, a ghost of yourself who has already completed the task you need carried out. Confused? You will be.

The gameplay itself is simple. Move the stick figure through the 2-D environment, using up to nine versions of yourself to activate switches and remove platforms. The confusion comes as you try to get the switches pressed in the right order, with the ghost versions of your character doing the work for you.

If you want a brain-melter of a game, this is it. Echoshiftwill tie you up in knots trying to figure out which button should be pressed to successfully complete the level. One mistake can throw each subsequent "man" off. Confusing, yet strangely addictive.
