The trailer for Dead Island was a real attention-grabber. And while the first-person zombie shooter was good, you can probably skip this particular instalment. You know the story: a tropical island overrun with zombies, and you have to survive. How you do so is up to you. Makeshift weapons are the order of the day, and you'll spend much of the time trying to ferret out the perfect bit of junk to combine with another piece of junk to create a weapon that will keep you alive for another 30 seconds as you try to complete another mission. You'll be tempted to give up and give in to the inevitable zombie infection. There's just not enough different about Riptide to make it worth the effort. The missions are too similar and quickly become tedious, though multiplayer and co-op is definitely more fun than a solo run. If you like repeatedly smacking zombies in the face, this game is perfect for you.
