Teacher in court over murder

London - A former teacher appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering his foster daughter.

London - A former teacher appeared in court yesterday charged with murdering his foster daughter.

Scuffles broke out outside Lewes Crown Court, East Sussex, as Mr Sion Jenkins (41) arrived for the first day of his trial.

He is charged with murdering Billie-Jo Jenkins (13) on February 15th last year. She was found bludgeoned to death on the patio of her foster family's home. Billie-Jo had been fostered by Mr Jenkins, a deputy headmaster of the William Parker boys school, in Hastings, East Sussex, and his wife Lois, for over four years.
