Kabul - The leader of Afghanistan's Taliban movement said yesterday the world was treating Afghans unjustly by failing to condemn Iranian "interference" in the country's affairs.

Mullah Mohammad Omar said in a statement that the Taliban now controlled virtually all of Afghanistan and should be recognised as the legal government instead of the ousted administration of Mr Burhanuddin Rabbani, which is recognised by Iran.
