The Union of Students of Ireland will send over 15,000 postcards to the Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, to highlight its demand for "investment in . . . third-level students".

Each card will call for investment in student housing, the abolition of all college fees and for maintenance grants to be brought into line with social welfare payments. USI says it has given the Government a deadline of October 13th to implement its demands.
