Hearse drivers, coffin makers and embalmers in Dublin have threatened strike action over the non implementation of an agreement covering pay and conditions.
Proposals by the Labour Relations Commission were made on May 10th last year and accepted by the employers, but had not been implemented, according to a SIPTU statement.
Employees in the Dublin undertaking trade had exercised "maximum restraint" and had agreed to suspend their threat of industrial action last year, said SIPTU negotiator Mr Liam Peppard.
That threat was being reactivated.
