Fianna Fail has accused the Tanaiste, Mr Spring, of creating "a phoney ideological row" about the sale of shares to the employees of Telecom Eireann. The party's spokesman on Communications, Mr Seamus Brennan, claimed Mr Spring was "posturing" in advance of an election and pretending he had some ideological differences with Fine Gael.
