Garda sniffer dogs recovered 48 slabs of cannabis resin weighing 12 kg in Liffey Valley Park where two men had been arrested earlier by patrolling detectives, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard yesterday.
The exhibits also included £5,255 in cash.
Mr John Kelly (42), of Inchicore, has pleaded not guilty to charges of having the cannabis for sale and supply on May 12th, 1997.
It was the third day of the trial. The hearing continues before Judge Frank O'Donnell.
