Approximately 650 kilos of cocaine with a street value £40 million sterling was detected and six men have been arrested.

The cocaine was concealed within components of a shipment of heavy plant machinery which arrived at Felixstowe on November 13th from Ecuador.

A surveillance operation, code-named Elysian, was mounted from Manchester and ended last night with two arrests at an industrial unit in Wolverhampton.

Customs officers swooped in during an attempt to remove the cocaine from the machinery. A further four arrests were made; two in North Wales, one in Leicester and one in Telford.
