Sicilian shades in chiffon

The wearers of Dolce & Gabbana got a sneak preview of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2002 collection

The wearers of Dolce & Gabbana got a sneak preview of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2002 collection. Balloon shapes in chiffon in Sicilian colours were part of the look. Along with black, there were 45 different shades.

Aisling Gleeson, Karin Reihill and John Redmond were there, excited at the prospect of seeing the newest styles unveiled. Denise Gallagher and Niamh Sheeran (who were taking a break from arranging tonight's Diamond Ball in the Shelbourne Hotel, which aims to raise money for 13 charities), were also to be spotted.

Noel Toolin, who is currently working on the rebranding or "repositing of images" of South Africa, was there with his wife, Elaine Toolin, who was wearing a dramatic Dolce & Gabbana black dress with rips and ruches to beat the band. Like most of those in attendance at the fashion show in Brown Thomas, her style was up to the minute.
