Cairo - The Egyptian airport authorities yesterday seized $3.5 million of smuggled goods including portable phones and aphrodisiacs like "sexual chewing gum", officials said.
The authorities five years ago banned what the news media dubbed "sexual chewing gum", which it accused Israel of exporting to debauch young Egyptians. Compact discs, watches and spare parts were also seized in what was described as the biggest haul ever at the airport's cargo zone.
