Gardai have arrested seven people as part of an investigation into the murder of Shane Rossiter in Co Tipperary last October.
Mr Rossiter (30) was shot in the stomach when he went to answer a knock at the door in a house near Cashel at 6.45am on October 17th.
The arrests of five men and two women aged from their early 20s to early 40s were made by the Garda in the Tipperary area today. They are being held at various Co Tipperary Garda Stations.
Mr Rossiter was sharing the house at Church Lane in Golden, near Cashel with his girlfriend. There were four other people in the house at the time and they raised the alarm.
Mr Rossiter, from Clonmel, was rushed by ambulance to South Tipperary General Hospital where he died a short time later.
He was known to gardaí and had served sentences for assault as well as drug dealing.
His brother Brian died in 2002 aged 14 after he became ill in Garda custody in his native Clonmel.
