A JOINT Garda Army team will this morning resume a search of woods near Moone, Co Kildare, for the body of Ms Josephine Dullard, the Kilkenny woman who went missing last November.
The operation began yesterday when gardai and about 30 soldiers from the Curragh Camp searched woodland north of Moone, Ms Dullard's lasts known location. Today's search will concentrate on areas west of the village.
Most of these woods were, searched in the weeks after Ms Dullard's disappearance. Garda sources said search parties often go over ground already covered, because anyone moving a body might believe that an area already examined is a safe hiding place.
Ms Dullard (21) went missing when travelling home to Callan, Co Kilkenny, from Dublin on November 9th last. She was traced as far as Moone, where she telephoned a friend shortly after 11.30 p.m. to say she was having difficulty hitching a lift.
Later unconfirmed sightings placed her further down the Dublin Kilkenny road at Castledermot, and last February a woman told gardai she had travelled in a car with two men and Ms Dullard as far as Carlow. Descriptions of the men were issued but no suspects emerged.
