The funeral of an eight-year-old schoolboy, Kevin Meehen, of Lattylannigan, Ballybay, Co Monaghan, took place yesterday. He died after an accident as he got off a school bus near his home on Tuesday.
Unknown to the driver the boy's coat strings became entangled in the door, and he was dragged for a short distance before the driver was alerted and stopped the vehicle. He was taken to Louth General Hospital with head injuries and died on Wednesday.
