Moscow - The Russian Defence Minister, Mr Igor Sergeyev, warned yesterday that plans for a ground attack on Chechnya were ready as an intensified bombing campaign against the rebel republic entered its fourth day.
It was the first time Mr Sergeyev admitted to preparations for a ground attack against the breakaway republic.
