Manchester United chief executive Peter Kenyon is promising an 'interesting news' week at Old Trafford, including the completion of Ronaldinho's £19 million sterling move from Paris St Germain.

And that transfer could trigger Juan Sebastian Veron's departure for Chelsea, even though Kenyon claimed no formal bid has been received from the cash-rich Stamford Bridge outfit.

United are anxious to finalise all their big money transfer deals this week, ahead of their departure for the four-match tour of the United States on Saturday.

American goalkeeper Tim Howard is expected to sign a four-year deal later today once the formalities of his medical are complete and there has also been speculation that a move from Real Betis' highly-rated midfielder Joaquin will be concluded as Alex Ferguson finalises plans for the defence of United's Premiership crown.

However, Ronaldinho remains Ferguson's major summer target and, after welcoming the Brazilian's decision to go public over his desire to join the Red Devils yesterday, Kenyon said he was confident the protracted transfer negotiations with Paris St Germain would soon be concluded.

"I am very confident the Ronaldinho transfer will happen, hopefully before we leave for the States," Kenyon announced.

"I was delighted to see that he came out as a player and said he wanted to join us, which is a good sign.

"As much as we would like to keep these things quiet, other people have different agendas. We are in negotiation with PSG and despite all the coverage, they are moving forward."
