Ankara - The Turkish Prime Minister, Mr Bulent Ecevit, said yesterday he believed that the Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan had returned to Italy, but Rome denied the guerrilla was back in the city.
The arrest of Turkey's most wanted man in Rome in November led to a diplomatic row when Turkey failed in an attempt to have him extradited. He left Rome in mid-January.
