Ms Jeanne Rankin, who owns and runs Roscoff restaurant in Belfast, has been appointed Canada's first honorary consul in Northern Ireland.
She runs Roscoff restaurant in Shaftesbury Square with her husband, Paul. They have also presented the cookery programme Gourmet Ireland.
