UP TO four fifths of all rental housing sold recently is being reconverted to private accommodation, the Irish Property "Owners Association has claimed. Its spokesman, Mr Fintan McNamara, warned of a crisis in the private rented housing sector, because of Government regulations and disincentives.
He demanded tax incentives in the Budget for the private rented sector, which was "an indispensable service industry".
