The jury in the rape trial of a 15 year old Co Limerick youth was sent to a hotel last night having failed to complete its deliberations after 3 1/2 hours. It will return to the Central Criminal Court this morning.
During the three day trial, the accused boy has pleaded not guilty to raping and sexually assaulting his two sisters' best friend on May 7th, 1994, when she was 12.
Last night, the foreman of the jury indicated a verdict had been reached on one of the two charges. However, he did not say which charge had been decided.
