Three armed men escaped with a small amount of cash after they held up a bookmaker’s in Thurles, Co Tipperary, this afternoon.

The three raiders, wearing balaclavas and armed with a shotgun and a knife, entered the Paddy Powers branch on Friar Street in Thurles at around 3.30pm.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.
