A series of public meetings has been announced today as part of an ongoing review of fire safety and fire services in Ireland.
Seven regional meetings will be facilitated by Farrell Grant Sparks Consulting Ltd., and are intended to provide the public with forums to express their views on current national fire safety standards.
Announcing the dates and venues for the meetings, the Minister for the Environment and Local Government Mr Noel Dempsey said he intended to ensure all views and opinions would be heard and hoped the consultation process would be as comprehensive as possible.
The meetings, which will feature workshops on safety and emergency responses, will be at the following venues:
- August 28th - Jury's Hotel, Cork
- September 10th - Gresham Hotel, Dublin
- September 12th - Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick
- September 13th - Corrib Great Southern, Galway
- September 17th - Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone
- September 19th - Sligo Park Hotel, Sligo
- September 20th - Rivercourt Hotel, Kilkenny
