The PSNI has paid tribute to gardaí for their co-operation after three men were jailed for their part in a robbery.

Footwear seized from the four-man gang in Donegal linked them to the robbery across the Border at the Northern Bank, Kesh, Co Fermanagh.

Two were held in south Donegal, with cash from the bank, after their stolen car crashed while being chased by gardaí. Two more were arrested in the Abbey Hotel in Donegal town where all four had spent the night. All were from Belfast.

Seán Moran (38), was sentenced to 10 years and six months, Seán McKay (26), was sentenced to eight years and six months, and Gavin Dempster (30), who rammed a police car in the getaway vehicle, was jailed for six years and six months. All three admitted their part in the €7,500 robbery in February 2009.
