The President, Mrs Robinson, praised the local community council in Easky, Co Sligo, when she opened Easky House as a tourist information centre and headquarters of the Irish Surfing Association.
She said that unless a community itself wanted to do things, they would not happen. The council had shown drive, commitment and achievements over the last five years.
