Is prayer the answer for our beleaguered and much maligned TDs? An unlikely cross-party group of TDs has invited Oireachtas members to a breakfast, followed by a "Bible Reading and Prayer" in the Cabinet diningroom in Leinster House on Thursday, December 9th. The invitation states, "A similar regular breakfast is convened in other parliaments such as in Washington and Westminster and one is being planned for Stormont too. The breakfast is not generally publicised to ensure it remains prayerful and personal for those who attend. Beidh failte is fiche romhat."
The holy people behind this initiative are Sean Doherty, who was recently "born again" and is a follower of Achill mystic Christina Gallagher, FG Presbyterian Seymour Crawford and Church of Ireland, Green Gaelgoir Trevor Sargent.
