Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy has survived a motion of no confidence by 56 votes to 53 with 35 abstentions.

There will be no general election, which would have followed a defeat, after the Government was supported by Independents Noel Grealish, Michael Lowry and Denis Naughten. Independent Peter Fitzpatrick voted against the Government as did the Rural Independents group.
